Coding is an essential skill for most professional careers in the 21st century. It helps students to develop problem solving skills. They are taught to identify problems, plan and execute solutions and then evaluate. If the solutions do not work, they can figure out why and how to make corrections. Coding often involves visualising, predicting and orienting objects moving through space and time. Students can make video games by their own through GUI based simple SCRATCH and Android apps with the help of MIT’s App Inventor.
